For Sebago’s 80th anniversary boat tour, we created a teaser that began entirely by hand — every line, every letter, every movement carefully crafted from scratch. The entire typography was hand-drawn and animated, with over 100 character positions illustrated frame by frame to give rhythm, personality, and a tactile sense of motion.
Each city featured in the tour was thoughtfully designed, building a visual narrative that evolves along the journey: the tour travels through Milano, Parigi, Amsterdam e Firenze, connecting different atmospheres and cultures under one cohesive storytelling approach.
At the center of it all, the Dockside — Sebago’s iconic shoe — was transformed into a real protagonist, turning into a boat.
A physical, shoe-shaped vessel that actually sails, blending concept and reality.
To bring this to life, we combined stop motion and animation techniques, keeping everything grounded in a handmade aesthetic while pushing the illusion forward.
The result is a piece that feels crafted, imperfect in the right way, and deeply human — celebrating not just the anniversary, but the spirit of the journey itself.
